NAPTA Members’ Meeting
Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 7:00pm

Don’t miss the meeting this week! Everyone is welcome – invite a friend! NAPTA needs to know what YOU need. We’ll have a talk about subsidy, staff top up, professional development, a voice: advocacy. We’ll also have a special guest speaker: Carol Langer. Here is the link for the meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89253477203?pwd=ZWlPOXpKQmVSSzdyZ1dPUkc0aGwxQT09

Other discussion will include “What are you needing?” Subsidy, staff top up, professional development, a voice: advoacy.

Carol is a long time advocate for our youngest citizens. She has worked in the early childhood sector for over 40 years as a preschool teacher, early intervention director, child care consultant, and family support coordinator.

She has sat on many boards, including the Edmonton Preschool Association, and committees throughout her long career in supporting children and early childhood professionals. She has served locally, provincially and nationally, with the Canadian Child Care Federation.

Carol will always be a strong advocate for quality services for children and families and the professionals who provide those services. She stands for a strong public system that includes family friendly community supports and that can be easily and affordably accessed.

In March, with COVID and the changing priorities of the Kenney government, she recently stepped back and moved into semi-retirement. She’s now writing a book. It may come out in 2 years or 20! Retirement is fun!

We can change the world through our children. We know better. We can do better.

Don’t miss another chance to take the course on the Flight curriculum!
